主要用途编辑
为医药、农药的中间体。本身也是一种鼠剂。用于测定铬，鉴定醛、酮及糖，以及制备1，2，4-三唑。本试剂与甲酸缩合得到1-甲酰基-3-氨基硫脲，用碱环化得到3-巯基-1，2，4-三唑，用硝酸氧化除去巯基得到1，2，4-三唑。
